Are You Frustrated With...

  • New age inspirational bullshit that sounds and feels good when your come across it in self-help books, motivational seminars, and TED talks but doesn't actually lead to change in your life
  • Scammers, hype artists, internet marketers and bullshit artists who make false promises that cause you to flush your hard earned money down the toilet
  • Spiritual teachers who claim to be "conscious" but come across as being out of touch with reality or smoking crack
  • One size fits all life and business advice that never works
  • Signing up for endless workshops, seminars, and online courses only to find yourself searching for another magic pill on the internet, stuck in the vicious cycle of reading enough self-help books to start a side-hustle as a therapist
  • Starting yet another creative project or pursuing another dream gathering dust in a desk drawer

No Bullshit Personal and Professional Development

Welcome to Unmistakable Creative

A corner of the internet for creatives, misfits, and people who feel like they do not belong anywhere else.

In a world full of noise, standing out is not a matter of success. It's a matter of survival. And we don't just you to survive, we want thrive in the creator economy.

You may not call yourself an artist, but we define art as any proactive act of creation: a project, an interaction, a blog post, a report, a paper, a book, a song, a performance, a business, the way you coach, teach clients, and so on.

When we look at and engage with our work through the eyes of an artist, we can not help but see things differently.

Unmistakable Art Doesn’t Need a Signature.

It is so infused with your heart, mind, and spirit that no one else could have created it. It is instantly recognizable as something you made - no one but you could have done it. That's what we want for you.

What you'll get us from us no bullshit professional development advice that works without having to spend your monthly paycheck at a new age gift shop on tarot cards, crystals, candles, idols of Hindu Gods and incense. (Yes, it's probably sacrilegious for an Indian Person to say that).

We will never tell you we have all the answers because we would be full of shit if we did. We encourage you to challenge our ideas, question our assumptions, and modify our advice so that it works in the context of YOUR life

Founder's Note

When I graduated from business school in 2009, the job market was virtually nonexistent. In an effort to stand out in the job market, I started my first blog, 100 Reasons Why You Should Hire Someone. When I couldn't come up with 100 reasons anyone should hire me, I realized I had a much bigger problem: no tangible evidence of my abilities.

Eventually, I started my first blog, which led to the creation of The Unmistakable Creative Podcast.

What Seth Godin calls the "Connection Economy" rewards people for standing out and not belonging. In today's world, standing out from a sea of noise is no longer just a matter of success. It's a matter of survival.  And my obsession with people who are good at unusual things has sparked my desire to tell inspiring stories about people who stand out from the crowd and succeed in today's economy.

Our mission is to help our readers, podcast listeners, and community members develop rare and valuable skills that can be applied to every part of their lives. We want them to develop habits they can apply to every area of their lives, bring ambitious creative projects to life, build an audience for their work. Whether you have a day job or are building a business in any field, we'll show you how to express your creativity to bring your childhood dreams to life. It doesn't matter if you're a late bloomer or just getting started on your journey.

Life is too damn short to spend it living up to other people's definition of success. Let go of old stories, take off your masks, throw away your labels, and become the version of yourself you have always wanted to be.
