My title

Hero VS Victim

In every story you tell yourself, you get to choose whether you're the hero or the victim.

If you're a victim, you argue for your limitations. As Jim Kwik once said, "if you argue for your limitations, you get to keep them." Many people will argue for their limitations because it lets them off the hook. They don't have to take responsibility or ownership for any of the outcomes they've created.

A hero sees an opportunity in adversity. He turns setbacks into comebacks. He's not a delusional optimist. But he also doesn't piss and moan about the bad hand he's been dealt.
