Taking on ambitious projects like writing books and producing a podcast has made me understand a fundamental key to creative work: you've got to have grit. Grit is how we bounce back from failure, how we work through the fear and uncertainty of chasing our dream- Grit is how we make big things happen.
If you're like most of the world, thinking about putting work out into the world is intimidating. You feel the fear, the resistance. But, thanks to what I've learned from speaking to hundreds of the most tenacious and courageous people on the planet, I know that grit is a skill that can be learned.
Join me to become a grittier, bolder, more tenacious person. Together we'll:
- Explore a resume of my most informative failures in life and how these moments led to bigger possibilities
- Understand what to do when confronted failure and hardship.
- Discover field-tested strategies proven to make you a more resilient person.
- Learn from from Gretchen Rubin, Jon Acuff, and Eric Gorges
Explore what to do when confronted failure and hardship.
In my life I’ve failed far more than I’ve succeeded. I’ve failed both personally and professionally, over and over again.
Despite all this, I hold failure in high esteem. Failure remains one of our greatest teachers. The only way to not benefit from failure is to not learn from it.
As one of my mentors told me over and over,
your temporary circumstances don’t have to become your permanent reality.
