Above and Beyond

We rarely notice when people do what's expected. If a hotel manager or waiter at a restaurant gives us a room key on check-in or brings our food on time, we don't say much. But when they go above and beyond, do things that aren't required or part of their job description, we notice. We pay attention.

We all have the opportunity to go above and beyond, in big ways and small ways. When you email every subscriber of your newsletter personally, you go above and beyond what's expected. When you ship consistently, are generous with your art, and choose to be prolific over sporadic, you go above and beyond.
